well here are a few rushed photos of the boom and how I think the rigging should look. It looks to run just like the one in the video... but the horse-shore looking thing seems to wont to fill the mid boom position. My misgivings are can a moveable part fill this position? Here is a bit clearer photo of the item or items, the smaller block to the right came off the aft of the boom. I had taped them together so not to misplaceit. E.E. is right I won't really see until i get the mast and boom up and see how it all fits. I got your PM I'll drop you a PM sometime ...

Thanks all for the input, and any others that may make an observation. it would seem the rotating boom line of thinking is the most likely use of this item. E.E. would the factor that this item is moveable hinder its function as part of the mainsheet or would the tension on the line hold it in place ...

Should be an interesting show... recalling my school days the general understanding was that the speed of light was nature's road block of the physical world. Now if one takes a step past the physical the speed of thought... now there is a new frontier to consider. :shock:

Thanks for the photos, here is one of my photos from the same section I think. Through the larger access I was able to check out the wooden base block of my C.P. Damp but not saturated, next came the smaller access point, where I now use a hand pump to remove any collected water as needed ...

Very well stated points of view, with an undercurrent of a true love for the sail, the only hint of regret on my part would be the knowledge that our Chryslers are indeed long in the tooth as are many of us.
