LS-13 question

I recently picked up an LS-13 and am trying to get it on the water. I just got a set of sails and the mast step which I had been missing. What I need is the distance from the transom to the inside of the mast base. This is where I assume I need to mount the step. Mine was gone when I got the boat al...

Thanks Cliff for the posting. Good stuff to have. Thanks Maury for looking. I have a question. When looking at the Dwyer mast site if I click on a mast size it comes up with some fittings. Is the thing they call a "step" something I could use for the mast to fit into? I have never seen wha...

Sorry for the delay. 50 is probably a fair price but I was trying to go cheaper. I may be able to put something together.
Thanks

Thanks guys, I kinda thought 40 some inches but that seems kind of long.
Would it be better, as Shunt1 said to use an extension and then go with a shorter tiller? I have never owned a sailboat before to have to figure this out and the last time I sailed was on a rented 14 foot boat 10 years ago.

Tiller length

Hey there, I have an old LS-13 that I just got but the tiller is missing. I am
going to make one but not sure how long it needs to be. Any one help?
Thanks

There is a downloadable parts manual out there but I forget where. It had pictures of all the parts on the boat and a parts list. I have an LS-13 that I just got and am trying to get on the water. The daggerboard levers on mine are in need of work also. The wood inside the cavity where the plate mou...

I recently picked up an LS-13 also and am in the process of repairing it.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me the length of the tiller as mine is missing. Have the hardware but no tiller. I plan on making one but do not know the length. Thanks

I had to remove the whole mounting plate and drill out the old screws to get them out after one broke while tightening it. This is on the plate that holds the lever for the bilgeboard. Of course I found the wood inside the area where the plate mounts to be rotted. So I am digging it all out and pour...

LS-13 flotaion foam.

I just picked up an old LS-13 and am trying to get it seaworthy. I did notice that the only foam in it was around the seal between the hull and the top
rail. Is that right or should there be flotation foam elsewhere. What is there is in pretty bad shape.
Thanks

LS-13 mast heel, sails

I picked up an old LS-13 in the hopes of sailing it one day. I noticed it seems to be missing the part that the mast fits onto in the bottom of the boat. I think it is called the heel. So if anyone has one or can tell me where to get one I would appreciate it. Also am missing the sails and could use...
