Hi again Beverly, That seems to be a better solution. Is there no cleat on the base of the mast(my whole rig is already buttoned up for the winter)? On my O'day 17, I used the jib halyard secured to a cleat at the bow and the bitter end was held as I walked the mast up. When upright, I cleated the e...

HI Beverly, I haven't sailed or rigged my 15 yet, as I took delivery in November, but if you are using the knot near the halyard as the manual shows, a larger line may not go thru the sheave with it. I plan to use a cleat and be able to use the halyard to assist on stepping the mast. Don't forget al...

While I just finished covering up the Chrysler for the winter, my Venture has been covered up since last fall while planning a knee replacement. In the spring the V21(also known as 'Wind is Free') gets a re-varnishing on the tiller, wiring in that last cabin lite near the storage locker and I'll try...

In looking at the pics on the link, it could still be that the CB mignt be capable of hanging down a small amount. the pics shown have the boat on it's side. However, when racing(I don't usually race - did enough of it on the track and on the street) I would imagine that the hatch would be in place;...

Thanks, E.E. I had a feeling that it might be something like that and the keel roller would be forcing the shape of the bottom upwards where it wasn't supposed to go. I guess I'll have to see what adjustments I need to do on the trailer bunks to raise it up a bit. The hatch came cracked and I can se...

Keel trunk on Mutineer

I'm a new owner of an old Mutineer, but took delivery on it just a week ago and the season is nearly over. I have a couple of questions for the rest of you "Mutt" owners. My cabin hatch was cracked and I can see that the Keel(centerboard?) is in the way of slipping the hatch into place whi...
