I installed a Humminbird Fish finder (Tri-Beam) on CRYSTA. I just bedded it in silicone near the orginal thru-hull in the bow storage area located under the v-berth - ran the wiring out to the cockpit and mounted the display to my steering pedistal. Thanks guys for all the complements - It makes for a homey, comfortable stay during the summer months. I do use an air conditioner (didn't have to use it last summer the fans kept it cool) when it's to warm and an electric heater when it gets cool. I'll have to post some more pics to show the salon ...

BTW - about the trailer the previous owner had it converted from a powerboat trailer, it's rated at 11,500 lbs. so I got lots of room fer overload. You bet it's nice, Living on the boat that is, We got a nice marina an the other Bob is just down the docks from me. Last season we took both boats out together and we often share rides on each others boats. Great to have friends close by.

Hey Bob I'd go for the Alado also if it were the deffrence between a new furler or an old one. I visited the website and looks good. I like how you can mount it after the mast is up. You Know what a pain my Harken is to mess with when raising my mast - LOL

I noticed that CRYSTA has a bit of rake in her rig and it works well for me also. I just look at the water line to make sure I'm level from bow to stern.

Second that - about compression - while on the trailer made some supports for the bridge deck while CRYSTA was in the barn and when she was in the water the supports ended up being to short to support the deck. Deflection appears to be about a 1/4 inch or so.
