Yeah 4 of us slept in the Chrysler and the other in my brothers Benateau. I don't have any cushions for the port side seat or all 5 of us could sleep in it.

As far as I can tell the interior is identical except for the absence of the winch for the keel cable. It still has the spot for the keel pin but it also has an additional 4 bolts that go through the fixed keel. I made some brackets that attach to the rearmost set of 2 bolts and I hoist it from thos...

I purchased a 2" fiberglass tube from McMaster-carr. I bored out the the hull and bushing point on the top to 2". I glassed it in and used uhdpe bushings (also from mcmaster-carr) on the top and bottom. I machined out the stainless tube from the upper bushing housing and reinstalled it jus...

Chrysler 22 in the open ocean.

I've been wanting to do this for some time. I took the whole family on memorial day weekend for a 3 day sailing trip around Catalina island. We got a late start friday and had to make the crossing in 15knot winds with 3 foot wind waves and 4 foot swell. We were close hauled and had to motor sail to ...

Chrysler 22 Mainsail tack attachment

Does anyone use a shackle when attaching the mainsail tack to the boom
? It seems like the attachment point on the boom is too low on mine and creates a wrinkle along the foot of the mainsail.

Cunninham control

Does anyone have pictures of how the cunningham control is rigged on their C-22. There is a Cunningham loop in my sail and a clam cleat on the mast nearby but i don't know what the system should look like. Also, our Catalina trip was a success https://plus.google.com/u/0/117600700115846527769/storie...

I'd love to sail a fixed keel C22 just for giggles to see how it is!
I bet she beats to win very nicely compared to the swing keel!

Great shots!

Between the carbon fiber foil and differential pinion, I thought you would have had an Indy car in another image.... Very cool. How did you determine the foil shapes, center of the keel and what did you do for ballast? Regards, B I didn't create the keel. It is original and the ballast is cast iron...

Well, it's been a long time since I bought this boat. 13years ago I bought this boat and I've never sailed it until today. It has been an off and on restoration project. I kind of forgot about it and left it in storage for the past 6 years. I got excited about it a few months ago and really started ...

I'm in the process of rewiring my boat. My Chrysler 22 has a stern light, a steaming light, and the red green bow light. I realize under the official rules a sailboat under 23 feet is only required to carry a flashlight but I'm going to be going out to Catalina island quite frequently and want to be...

Here's a pic of my boat. It's been an on and off restoration project since i bought it 13 years ago. I've only sailed it twice and other than that I've just been working on it. Hi All, My old 10 horsepower Honda outboard bit the dust. I just purchased a much newer honda 8hp with electric start and the extra long shaft option. It's something like 27" from the transom mount to the the top of the anti-cavitation plate. I'm wondering if I would even need a two position br...

Fuel locker opening

Does anyone know the dimensions of the fuel locker opening on a C-22? I am thinking of converting my outboard to propane and was wondering if a standard propane tank would fit. I would measure mine but it's two states away right now.
