I use a pin on the tack for the main sail. Surprised though that you think yours is too low as I have the boom below the mast gate and a rope to pull down the boom some more after I raise the main. When I reef the main I have to raise the boom above the mast gate or the main just is ...

That's why my project boat is still a project... but hey... it's all good! After 6 yrs may it may splash by the end of summer and be done the way we want without missing any needed time on the water too ...

9 degrees here tonight!

When we take out we clean the bottom an topside with a weak bleach solution in a 5 gallon bucket then rise with fresh water.

We winter our C22 in the shop...

Don't forget to empty the water from the depth sounder if you have one inside the hull like me!
