Re: Chrysler Sailors Looking for a new board owner

Scott you've done a great job keeping it afloat all these years --- one of the many reason the chrysler 22's and 26's remain in demand and have value is the active users forum that is often cited -- filled with DIY repair and maintenance guides and documentation -- the key to owning an old boat is s...

Re: Looking for a C26 trailer

Hi, I got a used one -- from a catalina , I think -- off eBay -- a tandem axle --working great -- it was made by sailtrailers -- http://www.sailtrailers.com -- they are very helpful and knowledgeable-- best money I ever spent on the boat -- (probably worth more than the boat at this point) -- but it...

Re: What did you replace the burlap cloth with?

I removed the nasty burlap fabric and rotting foam and nasty glue a while ago --- I'm planning wood strips -- big job but would give it a warm yachty upgrade look -- not a large area so shouldn't be too pricey -- not sure what to do in the berths -- tempted to do the same... large winter job..

Re: Outboard for C26

Long ago I stopped using the OEM Sailor chrysler outbid -- ( I still keep it int he corner of the storage shed -- don't know why -- it has been sitting the for over 20 years --sentimental I guess and a weird obsession to keep everything poem from the boat) - I glassed in the rear transom and then in...

Re: Gas tank question

I use a plastic 3 gallon that fits easily in the rear lazarette -- but I need a much longer range and wanted about 10 gallons -- was thinking about a flexible bladder somewhere down below with a auxiliary fuel pump -- but might be unsafe -- is this the gas tank discussed above ? -- http://www.attwoo...

I went down this road and I decided to put the job off... if you research backing plates on the net... the various sailing sites pretty much insist that you must bed these plates in thickened epoxy mix and they have all kinds of load calculations as to how big, how thick and what shape to make these...

Thanks... It is worth a lot... Is river cruiser a c26? If I leave the batts in the OEM place the port location would be great......
