C20 sail

Hey Dave B, I see that you've been a member here for a few weeks, but it is customary to reply to private messages. You said you'd like $300 for the c20 sail, I offered $175. If that doesn't work for you just say no thanks. Are you still going to put it on eBay? Have you left this forum, never to re...

Thanks for the input, I have all the deck hardware removed, deck sanded mostly, ready to paint and rebed hardware, then probably just patch up the rot. Not planning on going crazy with it I don't think that area is structural. Will post pictures when done.

Rotten wood

Hi, question for any C20 owners. I've found a lot of rotten plywood which encapsulates the foam flotation in the stern below the cockpit. Anyone have the same issue? How would you recommend dealing with this? This area is very difficult to access and I don't yet know how far the rot extends. Help!!

I'm thinking its probably a bad idea, but i don't like the interference with the engine and rudder. Probably what I should do is just move the engine bracket to one side and or get a prop guard. I've got the boat pretty much stripped of all deck fittings and will gut interior in the spring hopefully...

Should I put an outboard well in my C20

Hi guys, looking for advice on whether or not I should consider moving the rudder of my C20 outboard and building an outboard well where the rudder used to be as I'm concerned/don't like the interference between the rudder and the outboard where its currently mounted on the bracket. Do you think mov...

Hi, I haven't had my boat in the water yet, but I have put the mast up by myself in my backyard without a problem. I had all of the stays connected except the forestay, put the base in the j hook, pushed the mast up and then connected he forestay keeping tension on it so it didn't fall back, seemed ...

I'll try and post some pics soon, I've got alot of work to do before we can sail, interior has rotten wood from standing water, damage to keel, lots of other stuff, plus not much time to work on it. Thanks for the replies, glad to hear everyone speak highly of C-20's.

Thanks, yeah I think it just has the collar but it seems to be stuck and I don't want to pry on it and damage the fiberglass around it. Any ideas. I think you're right about it not coming off whlie on the trailer, I'm going to somehow jack it up or have it lifted off the trailer and remove the keel ...

New member with old C20

Hi all, I've been reading on this site for a few months. Thanks for all the good information. I have recently purchased a Chrysler 20 and am working on restoring it. I'm in the process of removing all the deck hardware in preparation to fill numerous holes, sand prime and paint. I have disassembled ...
