C22 repower

Need to find a new iron jib to use only for docking and when the wind dies on my C22. What's the smallest motor I can get away with.

thanks, going to go look at what edson has to say but will probably follow your advice. always used a tiller but first mate (and helpmate first class) gets a little confused with the tiller and will do anything not to dampen her enthousiasm.

Wheel Steering on a C 22

And now on to question two. Wonder if anyone has converted from tiller to wheel steering on a C22.

C 22 Rudder Issue

Ever since getting off the beach last fall with our C22 I've been puzzled about why the rudder won't clear the bottom of the motor no matter what position the outboard is in. It clears just fine in all but the horizontal. Am I missing something here???

Thanks a lot fellas. Both numbers y'all gave me have the starter. Hope I can return the favor. Looks like we won't miss too much of this great Fall weather.

Thought about going to a different motor but the dang one I have is in such good condition (minus the stupid starter of course) that it kills me to junk it. Previous owner didn't even need it to get away from the dock. I think he only started just to make sure it still ran OK. It may come to that bu...

Need Some Help From The Smart Guys

The 9.9 hp chrysler on my C22 has a bad starter and I'm having two problems. First - sticker shock when I realized the ones I see cost more than one for my 560SL Mercedes Benz Roadster. Second - I can't find a source for the correct one for my motor even though I have the part number off the dead Bo...

Many Thanks To All Who Helped

Tomorrow we get the hull wet for the first time. All week I've come on this forum asking what I'm sure are redundant questions about things that have been discussed here at great length and yet each and every poster who answered me was not just helpful but patient to a fault. The end result is that ...

Thanks to all the advice we're about ready to find out if she floats upright or not. Sailed a catalina 22 for a lot of years out of ocean springs on the gulf and even sitting on it's trailer it's obvious this Chrysler is way more boat than the Catalina. All that's left is to replace the rope that re...

First, thanks for the great advice. As far as the mast is concerned, my entire crew is my wife and I so the more mechanical advantage the better. The info y'all gave me on the keel cable caused me to go out and lower the keel enough to see where the cable attaches to the keel without raising the boa...

Need a Little Guidance Stepping the Mast On A C-22

Brought our new boat home yesterday and plan to put her in the water sometime this week. Been doing ok getting her ready but could use some guidance on a couple of things. My last boat a catalina 22 had a stainless cable that raised and lowered the keel, but the chrysler has a rope. Don't want to ge...

First thanks in advance for any help y'all can provide. Been off the water for a few years and before being beached I spent my time with Catalinas and Irwins. Going tomorrow to look at a C-22 with the intention of towing it home. Been away from the water so long if I'm left to my own devices I might...
