galley ladder suggestions
Hello, I've come across a 1GM which I'm going to install into a C26, remove the rudder , close the hole in the stern and install a stern rudder. I need easy access to the engine and the ladder is bolted down. I know the Chrysler Co. offered this boat with a factory inboard. Does anyone know if they ...

rudder shaft
Hello, I have a 79' C26. Can anyone tell me if there supposed to be a 2nd smaller piece of tubing in the rudder shaft. Rudder drawing only shows a single shaft tube of 1.5 O.D. and .120 wall. The drawing I believe is for a C22. I want to reinstall rudder and wondering if should chase another stainle...

First, I'm grateful for this website and appreciate everyone holding the fort. I purchased a 79' C26 and now learning her through. C26 keel weight
Hello, this topic may have been addressed but I could not find a post. I'm planning to convert my C26 to a fixed keel by filling the keel trunk and blending the keel foot into a keel fin. Saildata.com has ballast at 2000lb. Question: Is the keel fin 2000lb or is some of the ballast molded into the k...

So, I'm getting advice from boat addicts !!! It looks like the windows may leak so I imagine they'll need to be removed and resealed- walls are not soft around the windows. The stanchions have stains around the brackets and I'll pull ,clean and replace bolts. I haven't found any soft spot.. The rudd...

Everyone ,who owns one, does seem to enjoy these boats. It's one of the largest trailer-able that is still practical to launch and has standing room within the cabin. I examined the drawings and see the hidden cavity when keel is down. The owner recently informed me that Driscoll Boat Works is going...

2 videos of hull. opinions appreciated 1979 c26
Hello, I'm considering buying this 1979 c26 that is slipped in salt water. The day I arrived to buy the boat the keel cable broke and it pulled the hose off the keel cable tube. The cabin filled with water ,ankle high, until we removed the winch panel and replaced the hose. I really like the boat so...
