Reefing line in boom
I bought my C26 from a man who never raised the sails (weird!). I know that there is a cord that runs from the gooseneck back and partially through the boom, but I have don't know how to rig it or use it. I need your expert knowledge or there won't be any reefing in my future :0(

lazy jacks
Have any of you C26 sailors have "lazy jacks" for the main? Did you make them yourself or purchase them? Finally, are they a hassle when raising and lowering the mast? It's hard to picture.
Re: storm jib
I've not needed to reef my sail in the past but as I examine my boom and main, it looks like it was never designed to reef. What am I missing? My manuals don't address reefing.

potable water tank
Greetings! I have a C26 that has a steel water tank beneath the cooler. I have looked for a drain for the tank without success. I pump the tank as nearly dry as possible but the remaining water seems to spoil the new water added before a sail. I'm sure I'm missing something and I hope you can give m...

Re: What bodies of water do you sail?
My wife (1st Mate) and I sail a C 26 that we bought a couple of years ago. We felt that this boat was ideal for us since we live in Central Washington and we needed to trailer to our water. We have sailed in Lake Chelan, Lake Coeur d'Alene, Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. We still have much to...

Re: Recent requests for repairs, motor size or modifications
Good comment, Rick. As a recent member and an owner of a lovely C 26, I look forward to reading as many posts as I can and I always find helpful posts. I'd love to sail with other Chrysler boat owners in the Puget Sound area. I live in Leavenworth, but I try to make a couple of extended sails in the...

Re: Anchors Away
Thanks for your suggestion. I use my aft section sometimes for sleeping and since I drop my primary anchor from the bow, I'm hoping to find a way to keep the chain and rode near the bow. It's heavy and I'm not as young as I use to be ;0)

Furling hardware recommended for a 26'?
My Chrysler 26 came with a new furling jib but without the hardware. What would you recommend for a "tightwad"?

Anchors Away
If you're using your V-birth for sleeping where do you stow your anchor chain and row for easiest access on a 26 Chrysler?
