My boat has been in a slip for the last ten years, she remains bone dry except for a small amount of rain that is blown in around the companionway hatch.

The lines that keep the kick-up rudder from kicking-up are about to chafe through on my Chrysler 22. Does anyone have any tips on replacing them? Can you do it while the boat is in the water? Should the rudder be in the up or down posistion? Thanks for any advice.

Nah, the real purpose is to keep out the rattlesnakes and cottonmouth water moccasins, with no covers on the scuppers the boat would fill up with snakes. I'm in Texas you know

This was the easiest thing I have ever done to the boat. These snap in as if they were custom made to fit.

They neither prevent water from entering via the transom nor inhibit the outflow from the cockpit.

I also have them installed in the cockpit.

Better than the broken-up old plastic ones they replaced.

Do they look like shower drains to you?

Little Bird gets a bottom job at a VERY classy boatyard.

Do you have or have you seen a cover like this? Any thoughts on a frame?

My C22 came with a really nice cockpit cover made by Campbell Manufacturing out of Dallas TX. I'm not sure if it is the original cover that came with the boat or an after-market addition.
