VHF Coax Cable Question
Hello All, I am putting a fixed mount VHF on my C-22. I am placing the antenna on the mast and I am looking for suggestions on how to run the coax cable from the mast into the boat. Where to run the cable, how to get it into the boat, what kind of connections you used. I typically keep my boat at a ...

Louvered Vent
Hello, I have a C22 but I am guessing they are the same. For the outside holes, I used a Seafit Lourvered Vent - 3" White from West Marine, about $6 a piece. The face is square with screw holes on the corners and it has a flange in the back for a hose. I took the face to a grinder and ground th...

I had the same problem. Water was comming up through the tiller post either while sailing fast or motoring fast. Last year I replaced the lines used to raise and lower the rudder and the clam cleat that was on my tiller that holds the rudder lines in place. That seems to have fixed the problem. Both...

I have an old tiller head piece that I had replaced. The set screw that kept it from sliding on the tiller post seized and broke. Attempts to remove the screw just messed the head piece up more. I was able to have a friend make a new one for me. If you want, you can have my old head piece if your ma...

C22 Rudder Question
While taking my C22 out for the winter, the rudder fell to the ground as soon as the boat was out of the water. The bolt at the rudder's swivel point had either broken off or the nut unscrewed and the bolt fell out so I need to replace it. Does anyone know if there are other components other than th...

Jim, I noticed exactly what you have described. All the safety line holders were in need of being rebedded and probably had been for a while. I ended up rebedding all the safety line holders and chain plates as well as re caulking the toe rails and windows. It doesn't seem to leak anymore which is g...

Thank you for the detailed post. I appreciate you talking with others about my problem. It sounds like you have a couple great sources for information. I will probably end up drilling the small holes in the deck and injecting resin. I was dreading the thought of having to tear up any of the deck to ...

Soft Spot on Deck
Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some advice. I was doing some work on my C-22 and noticed that I have a soft spot on one side of my deck below the windows. Has anyone had any experience with this on their boats? If so, what have you done? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Devin

C22 Trailer Questions
I just bought a 77' C22 with the matching Chrysler trailer. The trailer needs some work before I will be able launch the boat anywhere. Does anyone know the dry weight of the boat and trailer? The trailer coupler needs replacing and I was wondering if a coupler with a 3,500 lb capacity would do the ...
