Good Points
I had not thought about water intrusion with the spectra line...maybe like Archy said it doesn't absorb much. I may get some spectra AND some cable and try each and see how it goes. Of course I have some trailer work to do before the boat goes out next time anyway <SIGH> The previous owner ha...

Thanks!
Have you found that you don't get much hum from the spectra? That would be a small added bonus, my hum was pretty loud.
I would expect to tie with a bowline, what knot did you use?

Keel Cable Replacement
Hi All, I'm getting ready to replace the keel cable on Anam Cara, and reading through the old how-to's on the association site got me thinking. The survey indicated that most used wire, but some used line (dacron/spectra). Does anyone around here use line for their keel cable? Is it knotted or eye s...

The plot thickens...after measuring the Jib
Well, I measured the jib also (well two of the five I think I have). That had a luff of ~25.5' and foot of 10'. That doesn't match the sailrite dimensions for either the jib or the genoa...or the dims on the site I found earlier. The sites I found had: Sailrite Jib I = 24, J = 8 Genoa I = 27.4, J = ...

Yeah...the Tall Mast set are Vectors
So the set I got were probably original for a tall-mast C22.

That is another option I need to price
I need to call and get quotes from some of the sailmakers in the area for how much a cut-down would cost.
I've also got a mishmash of sails that came with the boat. I think there are two cut-down mains from other boat types...I could also try those.

Thanks Gus!
I had not checked sailrite yet. Great site. Yep...I've got a set of Tall Rig sails.
They might end up on the forsale side of things here shortly.

Mast Height vs. Main Luff Length
Hi All, I finally had Anam Cara out on the water under sail(!) this past weekend. One thing that I found was that the mainsail seemed really low overhead when sitting in the cockpit. Many of the pictures on the old Chrysler site show a significant amount of headroom for the boom. I have measured bot...

I've completed the centerboard case repair along with adding a 10' extension to the trailer.

Pull-Out Galley Photos or Dimensions?
Hello All,
I am a proud new owner of a '77 C-22.
However, the pull-out galley is an obvious home-made replacement for the stock one.
Does anyone out there have photos of the stock pull-out galley and/or dimensions of the unit, so I can make a better replacement?
Thanks!
