No sweat Billy, I found the specs online as well... 26,6 is the number, it seems. You just keep yourself busy on that C22, and keep your site updated! As for sails, I'm watching fleabay, in hopes of getting some Katrina sails. I know, I know.. I'm a vulture. Strange though, there hasn't been ...

Aargh! Nice to see some action on this forum, and some new members! Billy, your site is super-dandy. I'm enjoying it muchly. FWIW, my keel pin leaks a bit too, and methinks I'll swap it out this coming summer. I'm keeping my boat (Ms. Fortune) on dry land in order to sort it out properly. Hopefully ...

Good question... my boat came without cushions, so I've been hoping to find a set... even if I could get some ratty old covers to use as templates.

Wag4513, Thanks so much for sending me the pic. Your cockpit sure looks nice & clean without the safety bars around the back... I've been considering doing the same on my boat I'm planning on putting a ladder on the stern, so I may do that this winter. Is the rudder a kick-up? Mine is fixed, whi...

length of mast

My C22 swingkeel has a "bastard" rig that includes a 32' (!!!) tapered racing mast. It's quick, but it sure is a handful! I'm keeping my boat ashore this year, and intend to do some serious re-rigging, so I need to know how much I need to remove. I think I probably have about 5' too much, ...

Stern-mount rudder... modified main rigging

Hey folks! My boat came with a stern-mounted rudder. To make it work, the PO set up a very simple trangulated rigging for the mainsheet. Has anyone else got pictures of a stern-mounted rudder with a traveller setup? I really like the space that the stern-mount gives me, but I'm not a fan of the resu...

I think cresendouser is on the right track... the lowest point seems to be around the keel pin. Don't know how you could fit a standard size pump there, but I will be working on a similar project. I was thinking of a standard bilge pump located elsewhere, with a smaller pump (windshield washer pump ...

OK... my boat's still in the water and I'm going to be building my cradle next week. So far it looks like I'm going to have to guestimate the shape of the cradle... Is there ANYONE out there with pictures of their cradle? I'm kinda in a jam here and could really use a hand. Someone sent me pictures ...

yikes

sounds a bit involved for the amount of time I have. My worst case scenario is to get into the water, using the waterline as a guideline and using strips of plywood to make a template. I'd really rather do the whole thing on dry land if i could get pics from someone. Another question: with a swing k...

Hey folks Because of procrastination/chaos and lack of organisation, my boat was in the water before I had a chance to make templates for a cradle. back afloat!

Hey folks Boat is back in the water. Had the mast welded (not cheap) and had a local marina go through all the rigging. New mast step was made. The boat sails like a dream and is VERY quick with it's "bastard" rigging. I'll probably chop a couple feet off the mast in the fall (it's 32' ?!?...

Found a good picture there... I appreciate it. It was a windy day... But according to the marine surveyor who assessed the damage, this could have happened on a moderately windy day. The homemade mast step was very poorly setup, a through-bolt was used as a hinge-pin, but it actually carried the wei...

Dismasted.... need help.

Hey folks, Bought a C22 ... part of the deal was for the seller to launch, rig and tune the boat. He was sailing the boat to my girlfriend's cottage on wednesday, where I was to take delivery. Got a call from him after waiting a couple hours... he had dismasted the boat. "Come and get it,"...

need cushion covers

hey folks, I bought a Chrysler 22 that came without any of the interior stuff. I'm going to make cushions for it, but it would be a whole lot easier if I could buy cushion covers from someone and just cut the foam to fit. It'd be even easier to just buy a complete set of cushions, but the shipping w...

pre-emptive attack against leaky swing keel

Ahoy there! This is my first post here. I bought a Chrysler 22 of unknown vintage in september. It's in overall good shape, needs a little elbow grease but that's about it. I have not sailed it, in fact I bought it without having seen it in the water. The seller assured me that there was no leaking ...
