Under sail, right of way. My vote.

However I would scoot out of the way as fast as possible just to be on the safe side. A sub could be real hard on the bottom paint.

Wow, I looked into this nifty stainless steal beauty that burned wood, coal you name it. Kind of a little fireplace. You need to run a flu out the upper deck. Insulate all areas it was next to, etc due to the heat. The basic unit was about $300 with all the hardware.

My wife would have much preferred I was a power boater on this scale or larger as well. Seems that heeling over stuff just is not he cup of tea.

Good question.

I consider my C22 good for say 5 to 7 day long trip for 2 maybe 3 adults on board. Stopping from time to time to dump the head, get a shower. You know sailing from sight to sight, dropping anchor at night. Getting a shower at a marina and emptying the head some what regularly.

A family boat, day sailor. Yuo that would be your C22. Do not mix your two boats together I don't think that would make you very happy.

Buy The C22 Cheap and build it back up the way you want it.

As stated above. Trim not thy rudder, lest ye covet it back in a strong blow.

When your healed over at say 25 degrees in Lake Washington, with the water coming up over the toe rail, washing your lee side windows, you will want every inch of that rudder. And you will hopefully have on your sailing ...

Mine came on my boat when I bought it. They are ugly but they work great. How about Craig's List or the Goodwill. I bet you can get well Loved quite functional fenders much like mine for a bargain. :D

I've only helped once, so I was more like an assistant at best.

I would expect to pay $300 to $500 US to have the parts made in stainless. Yes metal would work but it just means you get to do the job again much sooner.

The Keel does not need to come out all the way. Drop the end down say a foot ...

It is my opinion that a C26 in really good shape could do it. Now would "I" be sailor enough to handle it :?: That is the question.

Now some years ago it was reported on this forum that a Dr. and his Wife would sail a C26 form California to Hawaii and back many times ...

Trailer and boat complete, no motor.... I like it for $2000 but if you can get a better deal by all means do so.

Remember in the end the fair market price is what the seller is willing to sell for and what the buyer is willing to pay. Nothing more nothing less.
