I know you folks up north are still in winter. However, the weather here in Dallas, TX is just cruel. This week it was in the 70s and 80s. For the weekend we are looking at highs in the 50s. We have been on this seven day cycle for weeks.

The prior owner replaced both hatches with ones of his design. They are made from an aluminum frame with lexan. They work very well, and are strong enough to stand on. Here is a picture which shows an overview of the sliding hatch. If you are interested I can take some detailed photos to post. Jim h...

The prior owner made the change. He was an artist and a welder. Attaching the rudder to the stern is not hard with Rudder Gudgeons. I had the transom reinforced. The rudder head is a challenge. Mine is made of 3/8 stainless steel. Here is a picture: http://www.pbase.com/sailortex/image/102162140 It ...

The prior owner of my boat built a bracket to hold the original traveler track up out of the way when he moved the rudder to the stern. I used the original track with its screw holes to add a harken traveler to my boat. I used bolts that fit in the slot that runs the length of the Harken track to se...

The BEER 2008 Cruise is evidently scheduled for June 6th through 10th. Their sight should be updated next week. Here is a link for last years information.

I have been trying to go for years, but the Judges love to set my trials for June.

Patrick: I don't know. The boat was set up that way when I bought her and I haven't sailed on any other C-22s. The prior owner moved the rudder to the stern and built rudder head out of 3/8 stainless steel. I suspect the added weight on the stern has an affect. I'm looking for ways to move weight fo...

Which Hatch?
Do you mean the main hatch over the cabin?
The Prior Owner of my boat made a new hatch from
aluminium and lexan. You can see it in the picture.
