Yes' I'm still on mourning and OMG, I'm absolutely drooling!!! That's exactly what I want. I must bide my time though, marital/family politics and stuff. For now the DS2 is quietly residing on the side of my house, and all is peaceful. As soon as a car or two clears the driveway, I'm looking ...

39 degree low here in my part of the mitten. 62 and sunny tomorrow and that's the best it'll get this week. I refuse to work on my snowblower 'till I go sailing again, so I better get out there!

Thanks guys, as I've said before, Chryslersailors is a special group. I've informed the new owners that this is the goto site for ideas and info. In the end, I had gotten this boat at a good price and was able to give them a good price on it too, so that part felt great. Greg, his uncle and his moth...

A sad day

A healthy deposits been made and the Lollipop leaves the driveway for the last time tomorrow. Who buys a boat in October?.... I choked back a tear and accepted my thirty pieces of silver (geez, I didn't feel this bad when I took my dog in for the last time....seriously!). When I told my brother abou...

Hi Bob! The 26's are definitely beautious! Good luck with that cable. Are to going to try to put another one on or will you have this done? I bought a snorkeling set but hadn't gotten around to changing the cable on my 20 this season. The weather was never ready when I was. Only took her out three t...

Wow, that's a lot of boat for just over a grand! I'd be willing to try the live aboard thing for that price. Of coarse, I would have to, because I would no longer be living at my current address.

Winter's Approaching :( ....and We Need Videos!

I hate it! I had the C-20 out exactly three times this summer. Stony Creek has already been dropped to winter levels and it's time to think about putting her away for the winter again. Didn't sell her (priced too high without an engine) Hopefully next year things will work out. This is still my perf...

Captian Scott, I apologize for going off topic. Alan mentioned potato chips and Chrysler boats and it jogged a memory. You purchased a C-20 a while back and once had it included in your signature. Wha happened? Still a WIP?, did you sell it?...or...um... perhaps turn it into a ...( I just can't say ...

C,
You may want to think about getting a swim ladder for your boat too after watching this vid. I'm sure this guy wishes he'd added the option:

He was wise to get the Tilley hat though.

Hmmmm, my 20 came with a six plug multi outlet with a 15' yellow outdoor cord. Of course the only 'shorepower' I've hooked up with to date has been on my garage wall. Runs the fan and light just fine  OK, gotta go back to work and stop being a smarta.. Sorry, couldn't help it.

I disagree about the UN-necessity of clinometers. It's helpful to know the exact degree that certain passengers begin to panic at. Take my father-in-law for instance. 15 degrees. I remind him as he's telling others about how horrible sailing is that I've personally seen him heeling more than that on...

C!, Congrats on your maiden cruise with Hiawatha! Ah yes, the never ending wish list that comes with a 'vintage' sailboat, LOL. I'd definitely start with making sure the standing rigging/hardware is all safe and solid and also the keel crank & cable myself (check pin too), especially if they loo...

Not being a 26 owner, all I can think about a permanent camp stove on board is:  If your boat is insured, this my be an issue too. You may want to check. I thought about bringing one into the C20 when I had a gang on board, then went to Subways instead. OK, I'm a bit of a chicken. I sure woul...

Another thought. Check the pulleys themselves and also make sure they're still mounted solidly. Especially look at the one nearest to the winch. Over the years they could have become loose and misaligned. Is the fiberglass they're mounted to in good shape? I've heard that moving these around is tric...

Hi Dan, congrats on your new c-20. They're great boats if I do say so myself...and I do! Did you take the winch housing off and check out the action? (if not, you may want to). My winch handle turns a bit, maybe as much as a quarter turn counter-clockwise before it actually engages to go down. I bel...

Terrence! She's lookin' good! Very clean. I elected to keep the fresh painted look for my boat too. Easy upkeep.... and clean. Rolled vynyl looks great when it's new, but for myself, the c20 interior is best kept practical when a redo is necessary. It's not a place one would lounge around in for too...

Four cars in the driveway at present, Kids have the nerve to blame my boat for the bottleneck...LOL, however I do see another Chrysler in my future once my driveway empties and my wallet fills a bit...
