I love it! Thx Bob. The problem with two boats is one's always ready to go! (more or less) Was out in the DS2 Thursday with our Creekfleet when our little fleets commodore's husband (who owns a small sailboat shop) sold me on the benifits and ease of a vinylester repair. Got the stuff Friday and was...

Very nice boat and welcome aboard Cactupuss! We have several Mutts in our CreekFleet and they're little beauties. Built like tanks too, the Chrysler way! I'd use (and do use) Liquid Glass. I applied two coats to a very oxidized bright yellow '79 O'Day Widgeon and an oxidized to baby powder blue '71 ...

It's about feeling comfy in your own skin. If ya look good, ya feel good. It sounds like you got her lookin'n pretty good! ... I always use the main. It feels more controlled to me, easier to dump and recover in the wind. I hear that reefing is a good thing too, but I haven't tried that yet  ....

Forgot all about this: last September, I posted a question regarding the purpose of a certain bolt in my hull, I surmised it was probably the remnants of a speedo and left it be. http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa465/cs3079/QuestionBolt2.jpg Mariner had another guess: mariner Joined: 21 Aug 2008...

Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions. I got some ideas about how to approach this from each of you! Now it's time to get off my big butt and do some preliminary investigation for myself, LOL! Anticipating what was sealed inside the C20 for 34 years was like waiting to see what was insid...

She's a beauty Scott! I love to see these old Chrysler's brought back to glory. Dang, makes me wish I'd kept my '74 Charger! BTW: Love the C20 in the background. Add the 26 and you'd have a most exquisite privacy fence! Myself, I'd love to put in a horseshoe driveway, just think of the possibilities...

Thnks Capn'n B, Doh!, never thought of that! There's a large area sealed off right about where the weeping is occurring. I've pumped a lot of rainwater out of the storage and front keel bilge areas since I've owned her and this isn't a new issue. (Has anyone been in there?) Time to get the sabre saw...

I haaaaattteee when that happens! Three or four times for me. I always end up dropping the mast but was lucky enough the shake it down once. It helps to curse while looking up at the halyard....just dangling up there laughingly.

Thanks so much all, you've each given me some good ideas and some thoughts to consider. Today's gonna be a beautiful day to get started! Sunny and in the seventies with 3-4 mph winds so I won't be too tempted to run out to Stony with the other boat.

On my O'Days the masts are filled w/ foam to prevent the boats from turtling  if capsized. I haven't checked the C20, but I'd be willing to bet it is. Just got her back from her winter barn today. I'll have to see tomorrow.

Nice Aluminum Trailer! I'm into easy launching, she looks like she's sitting a bit high which could be a pain. For $2300, I'd need to check out the boat, it would have to be cherry in & out, esp w/o engine, but hey, I'm a cheapskate.
