I had a similar experience with my C26. I initially thought my pivot pin failed but after getting in the water found it was the cable. Mine also failed at the dock but my slip is only about 30" deep and the keel only went partially into the mud. I was able to rake and shovel enough mud away to ...

gudgeon repair

The easiest way to close up the deck is a 6" access cover from a marine supply. Cut the proper size hole, seal and screw down the ring and screw in the cover. I used these to replace the black rubber access covers on a freind's Bucceneer when they finally dried and cracked. Empty 2 liter soda b...

oriental launch

Jeff The wildlife ramp on Smith creek is the best ramp in Oriental. I'm not sure about overnight parking there. I do know you could probably leave your truck unlocked for the week and nobody would bother it. There is a boat yard within walking distance up the street you might make arrangements with....

mast wires

Gus, Before you send the wires down the mast, wrap them in 8 to 10" cable ties and leave the tails on. Locate them at different positons around the bundle. This will keep them centered and prevent internal slapping when moored or docked. Are you adding spreader lights?

I don't have a source for a pre made bushing , but there is a source for plastics if you need to make one.

www.mcmastercarr.com. They have all types of plastics... nylon, delrin, UHMWP, etc.

good luck
