One thing to think about before you are in Florida. If you are going to float it on the trailer you may need some type of extension for the tounge. I have an original Chyrsler trailer with about a 10' extension and have needed it every ramp I have used. If you are using a steep launch ramp or havin...

Sorry to break the bad news but those bunks are gonna have to be modified. It does not look like there is enough room to accommodate the keel above the axel. Should not be a difficult mod. I don't have he measurements you need, but Im sure soemone will pipe in.

Good luck with your new toy!

Launched the sailboat this morning. Keel pin leaked..badly. Had to pull the boat out and worked on it at Daves shop. Fixed it, then launched at Ballard park. Broke the boom, rudder did not work right, had trouble with the motor, got blown onto a sandbar, got hung up on some crab traps, that we had ...

I am very pleased with the new owner! The new boat is practiclly ready. All the major bottom work and repainting was done last summer and we took her out under motor in October before tucking her away for the season. We need to reinstall the benches and stiffen up the motor mount area to accommodate...

So its a done deal! The first buyer fell through, kinda flaked on us, no doubt some buyers remorse, but the back up offer was finanlized this AM. She is going to be in great hands. A very nice man who works in a boat yard in Westchester County and has always dreamed of owning his own sailboat. He ha...

A promising prospect for our C-22

Just for the hell of it I posted a Craigslist classified. We got a surprising amount of interest and showed the boat on Saturday to a few folks. We got two offers and one looks very promising, not wanting to jinx myself. A nice young man who seems to have lots of plans for refurbishing the old girl....

Just checked with my hubby. One side of the plate is bolted to the bottom of the mast. He said he had to remove the aluminum piece from the bottom of the mast in order to drill the holes to install the plate. The rivets were shot anyway so he used self tapping screws to reattach when he was finished...

We used this one. Not expensive and they delivered very fast. Took hubby about two hours to install.

This is from Captian Scott's site, he used the same one. http://www.captainscottsailing.com/LadyDi.php

An unfortunate example of the win at any cost mentalility of these rich boys. They might be meeting the letter of the rules, but certainly not the spirit with these new designs.

Yikes, your keel brackets look practically new compared to ours! I noticed that the forward end of the keel trunk looks different from our. Ours is just squared off. Looks like yours might have been subject to a modification/repair, probabaly a busted cable episode. I wonder if that's the source of ...
