Great job on the boat. Can't help you with an all white 22 but my 26 has a white deck. My plan is to refinish the non skid in gray or tan like yours. The white throws quite a glare and shows dirt easier than a color.

Onlineoutboards.com. They had a leftover available at the time. I would've only saved less than 100. but the 13's have the shift lever foward on the coel. that's nice. It also came with a 3 gallon tank. I was using a 6 hp Johnson that I had to spray to start when it was cold. after that it would sta...

The person I bought my Honda from mounted a Garlik mount on the back of the OE mount on his 26.He beefed up the OE mount with angle. It worked well. My plan is to close up the transom on the my 26 and mount the Garlik off to 1 side to avoid interference with the prop.

I recently bought a new motor for Venture South.I got a 9.8 Tohatsu with electric start. Its a little overkill for that boat but it was the smallest they had with electric start. I wanted electric start in case a crew member needed to start it.A neighbor has a 6 hp that is a single cylinder that runs...

Maybe they were used to compensate for stretched or incorrect replacement stays. If that is the case just replace them with new epoxy coated blocks. Not quite su...

Check Amazon. They have a wide selection of size, price. quality and color.I have some of the 8" with through hole I got at a yard sale. With the through line and stopper knot they are pretty versatile. I've seen a lot of marine stuff there including some nice looking LED nav lights.

The Mac 22 is a good choice. I have 2. They're easy to set up and a lot of parts are available from Bluewater Yachts. There is also a very active forum at askamcgregerowner.com . They also cleanup nicely. The only funkey thing inside is that sculpted carpet on the cabin overhead. We sailed with that...

Adam, I had the same shut-off issue on a Suzuki 9.9. It had no tiller and no shut off button. I got a waterproof push button and installed it on the front of the cowl. Then I wired it where the lanyard switch connected.

20%26 Likewise on the Venture/Mac 22's. You can put a pin through the trunk and keel like EE's Cal. Like you, I sail in shallow water and don't lock the keel down.

When were you on my boat taking pictures? Mine looks just like yours in your before pic. Did you have to remove the bulkhead to the anchor locker? Mine was rotted and had to come out. What did you do to support the new ply along the hull?

I've built more trailer axles than I can remember. One thing I always do is seal weld the spindles in. Then I drill and tap for 1/4 NPT on the top of the axle. I then pressure test my welds with air. After they pass the pressure test, I fill the axle with waste oil. Those axles will never rust from ...

The plywood is the core of the rudder. Mine is the same. I saw it when I replaced my control lines. I wasn't real impressed when I first saw it but it was sound with no soft spots. Its lasted all this time, I guess its OK.
