PS: The alternate route I discovered and was highly suggested on several website searches for larger motor homes towing vehicles etc, was for avoiding the VERY STEEP climb up the grapevine along I-5 in southern CA... It would take us to the coast around Santa maria just north of Santa Barbera... Two...

Laughing here: "Why would you!?!?" To get away from the snow! LOL! I'm always pointout to Tresa (an Oregon native") that Oregon does not have "the trees of my people" (Palm trees!) Father was Cuban, my childhood was spent in the Florida Keyes and I lived in southern CA up un...

Snow chains on a trailer? Towing a C-26 at load limit... THo

Hi all, Well, Dayenu has been put to bed, cleaned and covered... a list of modifications and things to do now span the marker boards of the shop with a dream/planning chart of the San Juans and the southern Canadian gulf islands... Tresa and I can't wait that long though... Originally from LA (Marin...

Same problem here... I was thinking of routering out a space along the side of the rudder nearest the bottom. Placing the rudder in our hot tub and adding lead weights so get a more neutral buoyancy, then taking the lead and pouring it into the routered out space, then covering up with west and micr...

This thread caught my eye

We just covered Dayenu (made a crutch for the mast to be raised off the bow and stern rails about 18" to provide space underneath to work in and on the boat this winter. We have our San Juan Island charts on the walls and ten linear feet of "TO DO" lists on the marker boards in the sh...

That would be FUN! Chrysler owners or not... I used to lead caravans of cars going down to Baja after the road opened up in the early 70's... something about "group adventures" that made evening dinners fun! I haven't looked over the charts (I really shouldn't be here... I have so much I &...

PS: Another lesson learned!

A new vital piece of "equipment" has found a permanent place in Dayenu...

My snorkel gear!!!! (especially my mask!)

Once thought of as only recreational, I now consider this gear as vital for all sorts of underwater emergencies! Permanent home on Dayenu!

C-26 Cabin cushion removal... How to?

Hi Guys! Thanks for all the advice so far... One of my projects slated for this winter is building a new galley... Like some of you, I want to extend the port-side counter forward where the smaller back-rest cushion is... I don't want to rip it off and damage anything... How is this removed? Does it...

I wonder if the marine LED's are designed for 12 volt, or if they contain resistors to bring the voltage down? Maybe depen...
