They were dark tint, completely crazed and scratched !!

Thank you for the reply. Actually those holes aren't on the rubber but below it - I mistyped. I used plain old lucite/plexi, the original panes were 3/8" so I kept the same thickness. I did reuse the frames, as well as the original inserts as they were pliable still. Was tempted to route/recess...

Same here. I think the blade would be too bouyant to drag back underwater and line back up. Mine is out of the water with the rudder off if you'd like closeup pics of the assembly. been there, done this (except i was on the water)...rent a 30+ foot extending ladder from the rental store, place the foot around the forehatch , leaning it on the mast, extend it, and it should get you close enough to use a boat hook to snag it... I tied the jib halyard to the top rung of the ladde...

Most of the Katrina boats on Ebay are being auctioned as they were salvaged, including sails, and whatever else...so far nearly all I've seen are located in Gulfport, and most have been by Ebay Seller "USAuctions"

which thickness did you get ? I'm still waffling over that..I have a fair amount of slop between my rails and the cabin (enough that Katrina lifted one side of the hatch loose, lucky the other side held) so I'm thinking of going thick enough to take care of that..

I have same problem on my C26...am considering trying a thin phenolic strip laminated to the cabin top in that area...

maybe take a look at:

We are (once again) going to try to bring Emergency Exit up to the back yard for some much needed work, and I would really appreciate a mesurement or two from someone who has a C26 on a trailer currently.. That's where my bilge water goes....out the sink drain..good idea to add a valve there, mine is straight thru, I need to address that..although at rest that thruhull is above waterline on my boat, one day it might not be, and that would not be a good thing... Oops...I rambled on and didn't answer your question...I have one small pump under the rear berth area, and one at the deepest part of the bow under the vberth...never gotten water in the bow under sail or at dock, stern just collects it sitting at dock. ps if you are getting water up in the bow from...
