Self Steering / Auto Tiller / Auto Pilot

Okay, I sail alone about half the time. When I sail alone I go out for long hauls, 8 to 12 hours. Well there long hauls for me. I find myself rigging lines, bungee cords, etc. to secure the rudder while I go forward to raise, lower, adjust, the sails forward.. There has got to be a better way, a saf...

I'm looking for the stern railing. Mine is bent, looks like one of the times it was trailered the mast must have been strapped to it and creased it. Also looking for the 3 teak cabin boards. The top board specifically, mine is split lengthwise. Also the teak railings on the main hatch. Mine are okay...

Welcome Mario, Nice boat, looks just like mine. The hull colors that is. Same light blue stripes. My interior is the same light blue mixed with a darker blue weave pattern on the cusions. From the pictures it looks like you've got a good start on cleaning her up and getting her ready to sail. ...

Re: Boat names

Hello all, My C 22 which came to me last fall was resurrected by a fine older gentleman who's name was George, he had named her for his wife, The Judy A. After having a few health problems and some problems with his knees his wife insisted that he had to give her up. I was lucky enough to be in the...

Slick penant Captain Scott. After looking at my tiller yesterday, I'm going to have to go back to your posting on re-doing your tiller and hatch cover boards.

So what did your penant cost anyway to have turned out? And by whom?

I don't know what sealant you use. But like the last post, I've never seen the fixed kell C-22, I've seen an add for a C-22 fixed keel but no photo's. Thanks for the picture. I hear they are even faster then the swing keels.

Wild day on Puget Sound

Hi All I took the Honu out yesterday between Everett and Whidbey Island in Puget Sound with my wife, son and my son's friend, both of them 20 years old now. It's the first time they had ever been out on the boat with me. We had Sun and wind off the beam, the white caps just bearly there. Spray over ...

Okay I did see Scott's tiller before this re-do. WOW, seriously I would not have even tried, that tiller was shot by even optimistic standards. That is extremely impressive wood work Scott.

Ahoy there,

Accourding to the plate on my back of my cockpit of my 1976 C-22, 10hp is the maximum load. I have a 9.9hp 2 stroke motor, never been out in bad weather but it hauls, fully loaded and never had it on 100% power. I go to about 3/4 power.

Thanks
Alan
