I use lazy jacks on my 26 and I fabbed them myself two tries to get them the way I waned them and it will keep the sail on the boom as far as neatly that is up to you when you get it down to lash it down.

My 26 the main sheet is above the companionway and that is the reason I put it on the fore deck and to get it there I use a whisker pole and a halyard and vang to lift it then release the whisker pole from the mast and it comes to the deck flip it over and a covered hatch for ventilation. 2 strokes do not get the hours per gallon of a 4 stroke but not bad and yes louder as the cowl could be better insulated they are much lighter than 4 strokes check the height of the cowl I had a 4 hp Johnson 4 stroke and it would not tilt because the cover hit.

I tow all the time and have no issues since I replaced the 12' gamefisher w/o outboard. I now have a 7' Ensign fiberglass I do believe in poly propolyne line as it floats. I also aquired a 9' inflatable and by the way both will fit on deck covering the Hatch and breeze acn blow in but rain is blocke...

as the new year came and went I am looking forward to launching my boat in 96 days weather permitting but then who's counting. Until then I will be working on some small projects and watching sailboats on youtube.

Have no fear Key West when you tilt the engine the handle will fold up you put the handle in the hole and it will fold when tilted that is what I do with my 15 hp Johnson.

I do not have a pop top on my 26 but do not see where it would hurt but you might need to put some type of hook on it so it will sit all the way down when closed so rain doesn't blow in.

No I don't think the storms followed them it is more likely the cycle it will get hotter and more storms and then get colder of course over a few centuries.
