Hey Kevin- "Wow! Moose Lake!" (OK only you with kids into Veggie Tales will get the reference. Google Moose Lake.) Seems I remember some hockey reference from Moose Lake. Might have even played on my hometown league at one time. Have anyone go pro/semi-pro? Anywho, you're in some beautiful...

Hey Kevin!

Welcome aboard! Looks like you and I shop at the same place! I gave $1200 for mine too.

Can't find a better place for info than here!

What part of the country are you in? Just like the rest of us, (and you too very soon!) can't wait for pics!

Cheers!

Here's a question that I should have researched before I turned them over to the Amish canvas worker: How many cushions should there be? (Turned them in for replacement prior to finding this site!) I have 11 and I can't say much more than that. I fsomeone has a picture or a drawing of what ought to ...

I found an Amish guy who has a canvas business over in my area. Lots of positive word of mouth and much cheaper than the normal commercial folks. That said, he's way more expensive than the numbers you guys are talking about. I've got no sewing apparatus, (nor skills for that matter) but I probably ...

My '75 has it. Haven't checked into it's condition, that's next Spring. So it just puts pressure on the one side of the keel to keep it from moving side to side, eh? I had guessed it might be and endstop of some type to keep the keel from flying forward and damaging the trunk, in case of a winch cab...

All- Listing: I floated the boat off the trailer shortly after I bought it in order to check for leaks. I immediately noticed the list. I sat on the port side and was not able to even it out--that about 250 pounds worth of offset I'm sportin'. No batteries installed on port and removed the galley, b...

Hull Seal

Hi Guys! So I took the toe rails off this summer and got tons of dirt out from the space between the top and bottom hulls. Also determined water (rain) has been wicking up through that joint, finding water in the bilges, floor, etc after a rain. Also, I have water in the foam that fills the area und...

Iron Mike is right. I just finished a boater safety course with the Power Squadron (yeah, I got it real bad!) and if you're under power, you are a power boat, as far as right of way priority goes. I say the sailboat stands on and you (motoring) give way. Unless being in the channel has something to ...

Once again, thanks for all the kind welcomes! Terrence- First, the legal disclaimer: I'm an electrical engineer, not mechanical but I gotta say this lift is rock stable. It's 10 feet wide and 12 feet long. My boat is a 22, so you see the overhang. Were I to do a 26, I would use 16 foot 2X12s for the...

Nice to meet you, Mike! REALLY looking forward to getting on the water. I really enjoy the refurbishment process, so that's good consolation this winter. Since you're so close by, may ask to stop by someday to check your set-up out and get some advice. I work in Zeeland (Gentex), so even closer to y...

Thanks John! The come-alongs are attached to cargo tie-down d-rings that are through bolted towards the top of the four corner 6X6s. Yeah, I was concerned about the possibility of racking as well. Hello All! I'm Mark and I've been lurking on your board for a couple weeks--finally got around to signing on. I've got to say this is a fantastic find for me! Just bought my first sailboat and it's a 1975 C-22 fixer-upper. This board has all kinds of helpful info and a great bunch of folks that're o...
