Fore stay attachment

I have been using this for a year , but I would like to know the proper way to use it.

It has two pin holes and two hooks.

I have been using one of the hooks for the jib.

Re: Deck gear installation question

I am going to tackle this in a few weeks. I already removed the anchor locker lid. I reinforced the area with 3/4" plywood and fiber-glassed it all in last year. I am going to remove the fore stay and install the bow roller, I think homemade but am not quite sure yet. then just attach the fore ...

Re: Almost did it again! LOL!

Sometimes the best thing that happens is to loose a buy, the next one and maybe better deal is just around the corner. It seems like every time I buy something, something better shows up a week later.

Re: Anchoring Techniques/Advice?

It would not hurt to have a buoy over the anchor and maybe one half way. just so everyone knows where your anchor is.

Re: New Year's Day Ordeal

I am not sure if you keep your keel down or not. I keep mine down so that if it grounds I can just raise it and move out of trouble.

Re: Mi Amor restoration

I just run the motor in reverse. you can see the knob on the panel in the cockpit. Once we get to upload pics it will be easier to show. This motor uses a very inexpensive controller just a toggle switch to reverse and a pedometer I think it is called to change speed. So simple it is scary.

Re: Newbie to sailing

Good luck Kevin. I'll try and find a link for running rigging. I think it is Milwaukee something, surplus stuff I got a good deal on my jib and main halyards.

Re: Mi Amor restoration

I started with a 172N, as my first plane 30 days into my classes after 10 hrs of flight time. After I got my license I traded it for a 152 from FL, great trip down and back. I tend to buy things sight unseen, the 152 quit in TN had to rebuild the carb to get back. This plane was in bad shape. The fi...

Re: Mi Amor restoration

It is The Apostle Islands, well I guess really it is both. With the kids and family Apostle and alone Lake Sakakawea. Amazing how many Chryslers are here in the Midwest. If you go electric you will never go back. I have a pic of the Honda 2000 that sits in the aft locker that I made by covering up t...

Re: Mi Amor restoration

I still have a ways to go. I am going to redo the fore stay so that I have a bow roller. Then the stay hooks to that. The windows are coming out. I redid them but they still leak, bad design. I am going to use a larger Plexiglas and attach them direct to the hull via butyl tape and bolts with rubber...

Re: Hooray II

Thanks Scott, I had had some help from one of the members because I could not get on the board before. I cannot remember who it was though. I hope to return the favor to others. I put a lot of work and research into this boat, and turned it into a self contained green boat.

Mi Amor restoration

I had to get rid of Photobucket, so many adds it was just too hard to work with. I have all on Google drive so I will see how this works. It will be better when I can just upload a single pic so I can explain as I go. https://photos.app.goo.gl/FDBBmZMz6kYYedVI2 I paid way too much for her but I boug...

Hooray II

Hello, it has been a year since I tried to get logged on. I had purchased a Chrysler C26 that needed a complete rebuild. I will start a new post with my improvements. Thanks For everyone and anyone that helped get the board fixed.
