I used 1" pipe with a cap and a 5/8" hole drilled for the pin. Gives me 10' and I use a 4:1 purchase and my winch I can stop and cleat it off at any point.

I have the same boom kicker and original Chrysler Vang works great and do not need the topping lift and I can slack the lazy jacks for the sun shade over the boom and biminy and if someone pulls down on the boom it will spring with the kicker so my topping lift is still on the boom.

I checked and rope size is 3mm to 8mm so that is 1/4 to 5/16 which would be small for our boats. my main sheet is 7/16 on the C-26. I also agree on Harken.

The only time I use shore power is for drill or sanders etc. the boat is not wired for shore power and I also have been solar for 3 years and even when on the hard during the winter the solar panel is outside.

Most marinas also have 3 prong 20 amp outlets at least around the hudson river. I use 2 50' 12 ga. cords usually 1 is enough.

Sounds like you had a good time. I went out teaching a friend to sail his Encinada 20 in 8Kt wind and when we got done he decided to put it on the trailer.

one time I had 2 rather large people on board and they hated switching sides when I tacked and did not want to be on the lee side so I had a brain storm and sat them on each side of the keel trunk great ballast it would have been better to have them on the windward rail adding about 700# but the riv...

I use the original Kenyon alchohol in the galley and I have a propane camp stove and use it in the cockpit as cooking inside on hot days I don't do it. I also have a force 10 grill also Propane.
