You can find a manual at:

but it will likely not tell you anything about the swing keel...

We bought our 1979 C26 in November of 2003 from the marina as a lien seizure. She had been abandoned by her previous owners for a year and a half, and we felt it appropriate to rechristen her. I have a high pressure job, my wife has a high pressure job, plus she is finishing her Phd work at night. W...

You know, sometimes my head is as hollow as a buoy...I had visited that site but was focusing on the "M" as a month code and there was no month with a code of "M"...but you're right, the "C" following the 79 is likely the month code....

Thanks !

C26 Hull Identification Numbers

Does anyone know/understand the last 4 digits of Chrylser hull numbers ? I know the CBC denotes a Chrysler boat, the next 5 digits are my hull number, but how about the last 4 that show the date of manufacture. My bill of sale lists my C26 as a 1981 model, but since the last 4 digits are "M79C", I a...

No too much to tell, really. We only had enough time to motor down the bayou into the lake, catch a little wind near the inlet, and check the standing and running rigging. EE was sitting in the water unattended/unmaintained for a couple of years, so it was mostly a powered mini-shakedown. We just se...

Re: C26 Rudder sticking

Thanks for the reply...I did find a copy of the 79 C26 Manual that had a diagram of the setup...looks like it is really easy for the pull up line to bind the way it is run..EE is due for a haulout and bottom cleaning soon so I can re-do them then. I'm in a deep slip, so I just pushed it down with th...

C26 Kickup Rudder Lines

Does anyone know of the location of a diagram showing the layout of the pull up/pull down lines on the rudder blade of a C26 ? We just purchased a 1979 C26 as a fixup and the lines seem "stuck". Can push the rudder down by pole fine, but it seems to pop back up. Have to motor her a ways next week or...
