The aluminum is going to be weakened even more than it already is when you rebend it straight. If you straighten it I would add some reinforcing inside the pipe to restrengthen the area. Another piece of pipe that fits snugly inside would work.

A have an atrix 2 using nuti with active captain as well. The active captain app is the only windows mobile app I miss. I'm going to check these others as well.

There are some waterproof bondo type materials. Perhaps this was redone at some time using regular bondo, maybe the result of a hard grouding and not done correctly. Sounds like a no brainer, gotta take it off or you will be doing it again real soon. I'd go back to virgin material what ever that is and do it right this time.

You can but everything I have seen has a slightly different profile and mounts from the top instead of the side. None of them have the bumper built in either. Here is one of the suppliers I found.

I use the method Scott described, which is to secure it as you work your way forward with some bungee cords or what ever you have handy.

There is a drain hole passage from the port keel hinge settee to the port rear one so you may only have the one leak, water can also flow between the inner liner and the hull. I would address it first. Except for the sail ripping sounds like a good first trip.

There is a difference between what can be towed and what should be towed by any given vehicle. I would not tow it more than a short distance with anything less than a full sized 1/2 ton truck. If you are planing to traverse any mountains it better have a V8 under the hood and a towing package.
