If the water is from osmosis, you have to wash it regularly while drying or it will never dry properly. Man, that sentence sounds wrong, but it's true. Read this article and you will see what I'm talking about.

Dealt with the stuckup keel as well. Had the boat on stands when we freed it. It was a combination of rust swelling and not so fresh seafood. We used a long flat thin piece of metal to remove the sea life and get it free.

Ya Never Know's keel was stuckup when we purchased her, although the pennant didn't break until we had her on land and freed the keel.

Sailing with the keel up becomes quite an adventure in anything more than light winds. (think horse breaking).

We live in Florida, they don't ask that many questions when the "moving target" is an intruder.

EE, you forgot the other half of the story.. you've run aground, the motor has quit, the batteries are almost completely dead, the mosquitoes are out, and there is no Tow Boat US near enough to help.

There, finished it for you.

And just in case I didn't mention it, this printer is really cool. The kit was a bit of a pain to assemble and getting all of the setting right was more pain, but I'm really close to having really good details in the prints.

The printer is assembled. Currently working on adjusting settings to get the optimum prints. The settings are printer/plastic specific, so it's taking testing/adjustment cycles. Soon as I get it fine tuned, I'll be glad to make some bearings. PLA would probably suffice for bearings, it is bio degrad...

Printer arrived, it's the Thing-O-Matic kit version here:

http://store.makerbot.com/thing-o-matic-kit-mk7.html

The build area size is 96 mm x 108 mm x 115 mm high. In English that's 3.78 x 4.25 x 4.52 high. Is that big enough to make a mushroom bearing?
