must be a 26, looks stripped standing rigging and mast alone could make it cost prohibitive, if it was in Jax I might take a look.

We learn by doing, sometimes failing, hopefully doing better the next time. When I raced 19' lightnings we had no motor tall, you'd by surprised how little motor you need as you learn to maneuver the boat under sail. Bet the whiner asks to go again once he realizes what fun he had :)

There was plastic there  ......? Oh well, long gone on mine. A flat fiberglass batten might also work as a replacement.

FYI on launch I always have a little water in the floor, it comes up through the keel cable tube as I launch. If I rap a blanket around it at launch this solves the problem.

Sounds like a home job to me, only 6 inches at the seam is a pretty easy job with some patients the right thread/needle and palm thimble. You might be surprised at your hidden skills. Go to the sailrite website and poke around a bit to see what tips and materials they have to offer.

Welcome aboard, You might try soaking it overnight with some WD-40 then place a piece of wood on the end of the post and lightly tap it with a hammer, be careful to hard could damage the plastic/fiberglass or flare the top of the post. Patience and persistence will be the key to getting it apart wit...

Well I too made it however I was not fortunate enough to run into anyone. I am pretty sure I saw Windward anchored early Sunday morning as we made a mad dash to the marina to get in ahead of the Sunday crowd coming out. It was pretty early and I was not sure anyone would be awake plus the wife was i...

I think your question contains the answer...........at some point the amount of flotation needed just becomes to much versus useful space on the boat.

Sounds like you need some new slugs for your main. I think the originals were sewn on but you can use screw on plastic shackles to attach new slugs, I used 3/8's slugs on mine. Sailrite among others has the right parts along with tutorial on how to install them. As for the motor mount the transom is...

That being said,,, I have a leak too!! Arrgh, driving me nuts... Not knowing exactly when it is coming in you should check and make sure the thru hull sink valve is not partially open. On a port tack water can run back up the hose then underneath the cushions to the rear of the boat where it will e...

Welcome, I'll take a shot at it. First, there was not originally a "bilge" area on the 22 although I have created one of sorts on mine. There are small passages between the storage compartments though and they are open to the small gap between the inner and outer hulls, so water could find...

It is not just the prop chewing the rudder that is the issue, it can also prevent you from turning in one direction and that direction is usually the one you need go to avoid trouble :).

I know you can get everything except the aluminum casting (though someone some where may carry it), mine is actually in pretty bad shape so when the time comes I will probably replace the boom as well, unless I can locate someone with a standardized set of accessories for square booms.

Yep looks like a fin keel to me, sounds like they may have used one type of hull and just fitted a fixed keel in the trunk with the same brackets and pin to hold it in place. It would fit with an auto manufactures thought process.
