Yes I understand that but where do they go? What route do they take? How else can you access that good other than the holes cut out for the panels?

One end of the wires all end up at the switch panel(s) but what about the other ends? Obviously they end up at the device they control but where else can I reach the void from to pull wires through?

Well I did assume there was space behind there once you cut the hole, but my real question is how/where does it communicate with other areas of the boat to determine with path? That connector sounds nice and if it takes 8 guage then that's about all I'd need. I'm familiar with those little somewhat ...

Thickened epoxy will hold the board you build to mount your batteries to. Rough-up the gel coat to get a good bond. You'll need heat enough for it to kick, if it's too cold it will never go. Moisture in the air can eventually spoil one of the components. Good advice. I'll be considering my options ...

Full electrical overhaul. C-22

The electrical forum seems a little sparce, so hopefully a full electrical re-do can drum up a little activity. I've only had my C-22 a few months and have been slowly gathering parts to redo pretty much every inch of the wiring. I plan to have a 12V system as well as two 110V systems. One 110v syst...

Any photos of the final installation of the panel? What thickness Luan did you use?

If you take a look at the electrical section, I did a thread designing an electrical system. I use a lawn mower batter as primary, port side outboard the potty, with a battery switch port side in the cubby for the dinnette, and my second battery a full size marine, can be installed or removed and s...

If you have the original galley like mine had, I had a listing to starboard. I added a battery to the port side, but that wasn't enough, so I took the galley out :D I think two batteries might be a bit of weight to consider, so I might put them as amidships as I could, maybe behind the bulkhead sup...

One thing I learned, the gas locker gets VERY wet, and I had the bilge pump exit at the very end, and water will siphon back inside the boat from the gas locker. I glassed the whole, threw the whole electric bilge pump overboard, and I went with a manual gusher bilge pump. I had it mounted in a pie...

Battery location...extra battery C22

I have several things I'd like to address on my new to me C22 so I'm starting a separate thread for each one to keep the discussions on track. Anyway the current battery location is just inside the port "cockpit locket" or the coffin area. it's an okay place I suppose but I would very much...

Well I haven't climbed down in there yet, but I can sure tell that it's a bit confining. Fortunately I only weigh in at about 145 lbs. I did think that it seemed like an odd place for a bilge pump. I will likely go with the mentioned location just behind the keel pivot point. How would one mount it ...

C-22 bilge pump

I know this should prob be in the elecrical section but there doesn't seem to be much traffic there. I'm fairly new to C22 ownership and the one I got last month needs some things. One thing is a bilge pump. There are remnanats of an old pump siliconed to the inside of the hull in the area below the...

I appreciate the response. Any pictures of the newly finised side? Any photos from when you were building them?

It's a long way off for my Chrysler but I'm sure I'll be doing something similar down the road. Much bigger fish to fry at this point though.

I'm pretty experienced in driving with decent sized trailers. While its not ideal it's what I have to work with. Starting out is the only real tricky part as the 1st gear in this car is a little tall. Stopping wasn't bad as I was driving very conservatively. The trailer appears to have brakes but th...

Just wanted to say hi. I picked up a C22 tonight near Ann Arbor, MI. Previous owner DiverDarren has posted here in the past I see.
