Added missing question "While trailering is it best to lower swing keel onto trailer or ride with the winch cable holding the load?" Now after 3 years experience it's a no brainer. But just discovered my keel pin bracket condition I wonder if bangs from the road aren't knocking my rust loose. I see a work storm approaching.

I like to drop the keel onto the yoke of the trailer, that unloads the cable and the stress of a 800# keel on the winch and bridge deck on your 30+ sailboat as you bounce down the road.
