Swing Keel cushion on hull underside

Post by C22Bob »

I'm ready to install my restored keel and remember there was something glued to the underside to cushion the keel against the underside when fully raised. Can anyone refresh my memory and/or let me know what you're using?

Thanks,....Bob

Not sure what that would be, I have never seen any type of keel cushion on the under side of the hull. May be something a previous owner thought was needed. I usually just let the keel hang down about an inch when fully raised. I would think that pulling the keel into some sort of pads would put extra stress on the winch and bridge deck.

thanks,..that's kinda what I thought...didn't really look factory. I like the idea of it though. I'll probably epoxy a small rubber bump stop aft of the cable riser.

Thanks, . Bob
