motor question

bought a used dt9.9c suzuki 2 stroke got it running, i believe there is a voltage output on the motor but im not sure it is a manual start and there is a plug of some sort sticking out of the case if it is elect. output will it charhe the battery and how quick will it charge i believe the motor to be 1988 to 1995 thanks

I have a 88 8HP pull start suzuki. There is a plug in between the choke and pull start. This is an electric output, not sure of the amperage though, it has always kept the battery plenty charged.

better check that output as to whether it's AC or DC. Magneto output is AC and is fine for lights but DON'T hook it to the battery!
I'm guessing it won't have a rectifier to change it to DC, but check it to find out!
