Privateer Spinnaker and motor mount.

Post by kdipersio »

Does anyone know how the spinnaker setup worked for the privateer. I haven't been able to find any information on it, other than there was a spinnaker kit as an option. I'd love to get a spinnaker flying on this boat, but am trying to figure out what I am going to need and how best to rig it. Anyone have any insight? Also I am interested in what the motor mount setup was for this boat. Anyone have pictures or links to possible motor mount options on this boat? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I would like to know as well, seems to be little info left these days for the smaller boats. I have a Pirateer also, and have never really sailed yet so I hope to learn on this boat.

I've got a motor mount on mine, it's just a 2" thick piece of wood mounted about 9" of the back of the transom. You can see it in the video I have a 55lb Motorguide trolling motor on it and it does a fine job of pushing the boat along.
