C22 Sails from "The Sail Warehouse"

Post by N41EF »

70 degrees here this weekend, to celebrate I ordered a new main sail from the Sail Warehouse on Friday, and withing an hour had a FEDEX tracking number. Trying to figure out how to put a logo and sail numbers on the new main. I have what's left of the original main.

How have you guys done the logo and numbers?

Somebody showed repair of the logo with a flexible paint a while back.

If you don't hear anything soon, you might want to post this on the normal discussion link as some may not check these others very often.

Wow, ordered Friday, shipped Friday from West Coast, arrived in SC on Weds. Looks great, looking into screen printing the logo, or will paint it. Going to the lake soon, will let you know how it goes.

The sail was made by Rolly Tasker Sailer in California.

I've got a screen printing press that's large enough to handle a C26 logo. If you'd like to use it you're more than welcome to. I've never used it, renter left it behind, but it would be fun, informative, and useful to test it out, on something other than a new sail first, and hopefully help out a fellow sailor and forum member. I'll clean and plug it in in the AM to make sure it still works properly. To ensure success, we could start with cotton or similar, move on to an un-serviceable sail, and finish with your new sail once absolutely sure of the finished result. I'm more than happy to help in any way I can.

On this same note, does anyone have a high quality image (.jpg, etc.) of the C22 sail logo? If you were to have one screen printed, what image would you use?

I researched my machine and it is called a heat seal machine, not a silk screening press. I'm not sure of the difference in names but I thought I'd clarify. Its purpose is to adhere decals, etc. to cloth. The bed is 15" x 14".

I ordered numbers from a store on eBay. Were 12", Black, and Helvetica font. Material was self-adhesive Dacron. Only a few $ and very nice. I also ordered a C22 logo (I furnished the artwork) and got a pair of those for appx $45 from the same vendor. Contact Dean at info[at]displaylasercutting.com. Tell him you want the C22 sail logo that Bob Johnson ordered. He'll know what you mean..

Check this out. It's a logo I put together

Contact Dean

and mention the logo he made for Bob Johnson. He'll know it. He can scale it to any size you want. He cuts it from self-adhesive Dacron

I've haven't checked in here for quite a while. "Life happens" as they say. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for posting this logo, it looks great! I might just have to get this done.
