Kekk trunk dimensions

Post by clair hofmann »

I have a C26 that I am setting up a trailer for. The boat is in the water 500 miles away and I need the distance from the hull to the bottom of the keel trunk. Ialso need the length of the trunk. I will make the bunks adjustable but I need a starting point. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Clair,
I had asked Eric Berg who owns "A Curious Thing" that same question on another forum....his reply to me is quoted below...hope it helps a bit..

"Okay...I think I understood your question..."measurement from the botton of the hull to the bottom of the keel box".

From inside the boat, on the deck by the base of the box which cranks up the swing keel, to the bottom of the hull which houses the swing keel, I measured (estimated) about 14 or 15 inches. (I measured up to a porthole, (Window) on the inside, and then measured down from the same window to the bottom, on the outside, and figured the difference).
I hope this helps.
