I am wanting to put a jib downhaul on my C-22. I was wondering if any of you have any advise or examples I can view on the Internet?

I just ran a line from the cockpit area to the bow, and when I hoist the jib the line goes inside/thru the hanks and is clipped to the head of the jib..not very elegant, but when I ease the halyard loose in one hand, and pull the drop line for the jib I can either drop it in a controlled fashion or I can just dump it..
