New C-20 owner

Post by chadfunk48 »

I am the new owner of a C-20. The boat is in good condition for being out the water for at least 10 years, however there are some oddities about it. First of all... does anyone know why there would be three holes drilled through the hull toward the stern and one toward the bow? Also, i'm having trouble with the lifelines interfereing with the jib sheets...thanks for any info...

Welcome!

The holes are probably throughhulls for drains or maybe a depthfinder or something like that. If you have an experienced sailor you know, he/she could probably help you either plug or connect what should be connected to the holes.

I took the upper lifeline on my C-22 and lowered it by attaching it to the toerail by the bow pulpit. That allowed the jib better movement while tacking. In terms of your jib sheets, I use a single line looped through the jib clew so there's no hardware to catch on the lifeline.
