Yeah Ho, Little Fish!

Post by mcrandall »

Here he is my friends! Born in the wee hours of the 14th of Dec. Our first Grandchild, named Mark after this proud, proud Grandpa!!! We're headed to Wichita Falls, TX this Sunday to meet in person and start on some knot tying lessons.

This lad has a fair bit of norwegian in him from my fathers side--and what happened this day in 1911? Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen reached the South Pole. Yessir, we've a fine shipmate in the makin'!!

Remember Captain's Couragous? (Find it and watch it!, the 1937 version. Just the best!) Manuel sang the Don't cry little fish song. Used to lullaby my Daughter's with that song (My Grandpa was a Newfie fisherman off the Grand Banks in his day. I picked it up along the way.) Think they'll be hearing it again this next week.

Oh Lord, life is so grand! I'm happy to tears today, My Friends!!!

Congrats on the first Grandchild; my daughter and her husband are starting to talk about kids so I may not be far behind.

A Grandchild... and the first none the less words I'm sure fail to express the joy that has come into your life over this and in our own small way we on the forum are right there with you... congratulations.

Congratulations Bestefar! (Gramps in Norwegian) Dec 14th is a great day to be born. I tried it once myself many years ago and it's worked out pretty well for the most part.

PS: Don't forget to measure him up for his C-22 T-shirt while you're visiting.

I don't understand, or maybe I do, I'm not sailing or or near the lake but there is warm water on my face and my heart feels good. Something wonderful must have just happened.

Happy for you and parents.

Now that is one of the BEST photo's and sailing stories I've ever read on the forum! Congratulations, and yes I do seem to have some warm salt water running down my cheeks. No Ocean is sight, hmmmm.

Thanks
