New C 20 owner
When attaching the boom to the mast what should be keeping the boom
from sliding all the way down the mast.
The part that goes into the sail slot on mast doesn't seem to have anything to fix it in place. I am missing something simple ?
Help appreciated
Dan

Welcome aboard shipmate!
Yup, I think EE nailed the answer on this one. He does that all the time, getting the right answer thing.
This is a photo of my C-22 Boom attached to the mast by a goose neck. I doubt it's the same on the C-20.
Okay so what's your boats name?
What part of the country? Pacific Fleet, Atlantic Fleet, Mid West Fleet? or What country you from?
We like photo's, any photo's of your boat? We recommend lots of before and after photos of your boat as you work on her. Sharing those photos is not mandatory by any means but we Chrysleraholics do enjoy them... A LOT!
Hi my name is Alan. I'm a Sailing Chrysleraholic. I Chryslered yesterday and plan on Chryslering again today.
Thanks
Alan

Yep, that's it EE !
Oh, BTW, welcome Dan!
BTW2: I see enough C20 owners now where I predict a C20 graphic on the back of the next round of T-shirts! LOL I've got one ready for the next round of orders.

I am in Southeast PA
I sailed sunfish, flying scots and a Buckeye when I was kid
Sailed off and on since 12, now 50. My dad had a 34 foot Cal that we sailed on the Chesapeake for a few years before he passed away
Haven't named the boat yet but I was thinking of calling it Niki's Surprise.
I manage investments for a living and my in law's (Mother in law Niki)
thought they had lost about $40,000 in short order. THey had forgotten about her one account being held with another custodian. My joke was that I used the funds for my boat. They fortunately had a sense of humor especially when the statement for said account was brought to their attention. Hence... Niki's surprise. I continued to call that account my boat fund...
My oldest son and I took the boat out on Marsh Creek Lake for a trial run and sailed under jib power as we didn't have that missing boom part.
The boat is small enough to trailer sail and big enough to have a fun on a short trip. Will sail her on Lake Nockamixon near here and then hit the Chesapeake late summer. Sorry no pics yet, she's in pretty good shape..Hard to keep clean though ...
Thanks again for the help

Great sailing report Dan. I also like you boat naming idea. Had a great day sailing without a main. Your going to love it with the full set of sail flying.
Thanks
