That boat is practically in my backyard! I have a note into the seller to allow me to come check it out.

Keep us updated, the boat looks good if the reserve is low it could be a nice find. I like the mast step idea an may copy that for next year.

I'm not sure I like that plywood rudder hub, but she seems in sound condition.

The plywood is the core of the rudder. Mine is the same. I saw it when I replaced my control lines. I wasn't real impressed when I first saw it but it was sound with no soft spots. Its lasted all this time, I guess its OK.

Mine is a metal ring, my guess is a po didn't like the plywood hub either.

Some one got a nice boat for a low price. I have seen this boat on this forum, but I can not remember his member name. Like to wish him well, An I hope the new owner well come forth, so we can well come him to the forum. Working on these Chrysler Sailboats must be fore love, an pride of owner ship.
