FYI: Webshots Is Dead as of Dec 1, 2012

Post by Alanhod »

Well the day is at hand. Webshots is dead as of Dec 1, 2012. Now why is this of any importance to you, you may ask yourself?

Well "Yourself" it means any of the photo's I and others have posted to this web site are going away, that I and others have posted here on the Chrysler Brain Trust. A lot of links will be broken and information lost. Not life or death by any means but any setep by step instructions or example photo's will not be there ant more after that date.

For those like me who have a "Boat Load" pun intended, of photo's you need to down load them now if you have not backed up them up already.

So I will be hunting for a new hosting site this week to re-load my "Boat Load" of Chrysler boating photo's.

Thanks
Alan

I also use photobucket... they wanted me to change to their new layout page, but I'm staying with the old one for now (old dog syndrome) . I can understand your aggravation Alan, if Photobucket was to disappear...

Thanks for the notice. It gave me an excuse to review your photos again. Your information is a great part of the Chrysler Sailing brain trust.

THANK YOU Alan

I haven't had internet access and was even planning to save more pictures on Webshots when I could get a good signal.

I have a lot of pictures from my pre moveing aboard life and not sure I have/had backup copies.

So thanks again Alan and the Chrysler site for informing me or I would have lost them.

Now the next step and try to figure how to post them again.

Hmmm, it's December 1, 2012, and my photo's are still there. We shall see if they are still there in a few weeks.

By the way I did save all the photo's so I will put them on a new site in the near future. Nothing has or will be lost. Worst case will be broken links to the old site.

Boy can I pick them...

Bata Max VCR
8 Track Tapes
Atari Computer
Ford Edsel, Okay that was my brothers car, I just helped restore it. But it was still a cool car and I would have bought it if he had not.

Thanks Alan
