Took the redhead to a family cookout on a Pearl River Nav Canal sandbar Saturday, had some boiled crawfish, burgers and such. Drove from there to coast and remounted the old Sailor 280 on the boat, worked on cutting the foam for the cushions, then drove back home listening to LSU 'sail' past OU to clinch a berth in Omaha...Sunday I tacked up and down the yard on the riding mower..

So..ah..no I didn't go sailing,,,

I got back yesterday and will never go under prepared as far as fuel first day went well a very strong ebb current going my way and went as far as I could before wind died the next day I traveled 30 miles they called for NW winds which would be good but I got S - SW and spent the whole day tacking on a narrow river. last 5 miles did not happen as the narrowest part of the trip had 20Kt wind and 3' whitecaps so I headed home.2 1/2 days to get that far and a day and a half to get back the last 12 miles we had a severe thunderstorm with gusts in excess on 50 mph and that spun me around and thew me about but the mighty Chrysler fought back and the storm left and we got home. Do wish I had made it to my destination and going that far next time I will Plan to motor and if I can sail great under power it is a 13 - 14 hr. trip.
