"There is no official word on the cause of the fire but it appeared to be an electrical fire." -- My 22' luxury Chrysler yacht (just what makes a yacht a yacht?) will get rewired after this sailing season. A picture is worth a thousand words. Scott, thanks for the push. -- Calvin

Most people consider a yacht as being a pleasure craft of 40 feet or larger.

I however prefer to think of it this way:
If your boat is so nice you are afraid to leave the dock for fear of scratching or smudging the finish it is a yacht.

If you use it as a pleasure craft regularly maybe not so much a yacht! LOL!

Pleasure craft and boom story

Pleasure Craft it is then. -- Scott, what did you do to address the boom issue? As my boom has one of the end casting tack ears broken off. Not too happy with the PO solution, but rectangular booms and boom parts seem to be in short supply. Could I suggest a boom section in the forum index? Searching the site turned up little helpful info, other than other people have the same problem. That's my boom story, will other members tell theirs?
