Hello everyone! I am fairly new to sailing (have messed around the last two years on a AMC sunfish on local lakes) and wanted to see what a slightly bigger sailboat would be like. I just purchased a Chrysler lonestar 16 foot in pretty decent shape and was curious if I could mount some type of small kicker engine on the back to help with dying winds, boat ramp situations, etc...??? (I usually end up sailing towards the end of the day where winds can die quickly on the lakes around our area)
What horsepower, motor mounts, etc.. would anyone recommend and is the back of the boat sturdy enough for a small engine/or enough space for one? There is not a lot of information out there on lonestars ls-16's in general and I have noticed that a few classified ads may have included a small motor.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!!!!! Thanks everyone!!
