Thought I recognized the color of the water. Then I looked and saw you're in NC. What part? We're on the Bay River just outside Oriental. unfortunately my C26 is in the water but in "project" status. If I walk about 10 more steps past the 26 I get on my Venture 22 that's ready to sail. Guess which one wins?

Ahh, I love Oriental. This is actually Lake Waccamaw, which is kind of in between Wilmington and Whiteville. It's one of NC's largest fresh-water lakes. It's a nature-lovers paradise and due to it's proximity to the coast often has great winds. I couldn't pass up a 70 degree day in November with 10-15 winds!

We have a small sailing club there and I keep the 22 on a mooring there. I'm hoping to venture into salt water next year now that I feel really comfortable with the boat in a variety of conditions.

If you or anybody else on here near us ever wants to check it out, consider it an open invitation!

Awesome video!
I'm sitting here at work and that just brightened my day!

My background is Lady Jo II on a port tack!
Looks very similar to the vid!
